The Gemstone Collar Necklace was born when Studio Eleutheria founder Ellie was in jewelry school. Asked to come up with a new project, she began forming a sterling silver collar by hand, shaping and soldering the metal before sourcing each gemstone and slowly finding the arrangement that felt right.
The piece brings together two sides of Ellie’s approach to jewelry: traditional metalsmithing and the process of sourcing and assembling beautiful materials. Clear, translucent stones are mixed with deeper opaque ones, bringing different colors, textures, and levels of clarity into a single piece. The stones draw loosely from two places that have shaped Ellie’s personal style: her years in New York City and her family roots in Chios, Greece.
